What kind of situations does FLASHbrief, Version 2.5 help with?
Emergency Alerts can be used for any number of large-scale, life-threatening circumstances... biological terrorism, chemical spills, mall shootings, campus hostage situations and pandemics come immediately to mind. Emergency Alerts would also be of critical importance before, during and after hurricanes, tornadoes, floods or wildfires. An infinite variety of Advisory Notices could be sent out on a regular basis to FLASHbrief users...AMBER alerts, SILVER alerts, boil water notifications, road closings and construction information, air quality or smog alerts, rip current advisories, school closures, and life-threatening heat waves are some examples.
How does FLASHbrief, Version 2.5 work?
FLASHbrief will create an Internet-based Alert Center for your organization, secured with the most sophisticated encryption currently available. This Alert Center requires a User Name and Password to access. This User Name and Password are known only to your organization's authorized personnel and not to FLASHbrief personnel.
As part of a coordinated media campaign, a designated official of your organization would hold a press conference announcing the implementation of the FLASHbrief, Version 2.5 mass alert notification system. Members of your organization could then be directed towards the FLASHbrief, Version 2.5 website at http://www.flashbrief.com/ where by clicking on the "Members-Get Connected Now!" link, they will be asked to enter the required information into the form fields and download their organization's edition of the FLASHbrief connection software. In less than a minute, FLASHbrief will activate a one-way receptive Internet connection with your system, and you and your members will have a communications network like no other.
When a need arises to send an ADVISORY or EMERGENCY alert, your authorized personnel will access their alert center and choose the applicable alert message category. Your message can be created totally from scratch or by using a pre-saved template to save time and to relay all pertinent details. When ready, FLASHbrief will require an additional SEND authorization code and in just seconds, your message is displaying on hundreds, thousands or millions of connected computers.
Members will receive a message window with audible alert at the top of their computer screen. ADVISORY alerts have a subdued audible alert which immediately quiets without members' response. EMERGENCY alerts however, have an urgent audible alert which can only be silenced by a member's response. Once acknowledged by the member, the alert will clear from their computer screen. In addition, those individuals that opted to provide their email address and and/or mobile phone number, will also receive the alert on the mobile cellular unit.
Who pays for FLASHbrief, Version 2.5?
Depending on which package is selected, each organization pays a one-time nominal activation fee as well as a small monthly connection and maintenance fee.
What does FLASHbrief charge for fees of Maintenance?
With annual renewal of FLASHbrief, Version 2.5, organization's pay a one-time activation charge with an on-going monthly service fee. This fee ensures that cities and their residents will always have the most secure and up-to-date FLASHbrief features for as long as they choose to continue the service. FLASHbrief, Version 2.5 connection software is provided free of charge to all citizens.
What kind of personal information is required from my members to get FLASHbrief, Version 2.5 Software?
Depending on which version of FLASHbrief notification is selected, information collected ranges to nothing but an IP address to both an email address and/or mobile phone number. FLASHbrief will safeguard all information on Secured Socket Layer Encrypted Servers and under no circumstances, will sell or otherwise market any email addresses or mobile phone numbers obtained. How many computers can my organization notify in the event of an emergency?
The number is unlimited.
Are there any language barriers to FLASHbrief, Version 2.5?
As the alerts will be sent by your organization, you will have the ability to send messages in any language that is relevant to your organization's cultural demographics.
